Terms & Conditions

Important booking terms and policies for your dog's luxury retreat experience

Quick Navigation

All bookings, either confirmed or pending, are subject to Milele Dog Retreat Terms and Conditions. Submission of a Booking Form constitutes acceptance of these terms, and your continued use of our services confirms your acceptance of the terms in force each time you use Milele Dog Retreat.

The Terms and Conditions set out an agreement between 'you' the owner, and Milele Dog Retreat and the chosen carer 'the carer'.

Booking  Terms

1

Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit has been paid, which is due at the time of submitting the Booking Form.

2

Once the booking deposit has been paid to Milele Dog Retreat, you agree to pay the remaining balance two weeks prior to your dog's staycation with us.

3

You confirm that you agree that if you cancel your booking for whatever reason, your deposit is non–refundable.

4

You understand that provisional bookings are not accepted. Milele Dog Retreat cannot be held responsible for keeping bookings open any longer than 24 hours without contact.

5

We have a minimum 3 day/2-night stay policy. During periods of high demand there may be a minimum 7 night stay policy. There is no maximum stay policy.

6

All dogs staying with us here at Milele Dog retreat are required to complete an Induction Day this is required prior to any stay with us.

7

If you collect your dog before the confirmed end date of the board you will not receive a refund.

Health & Safety  Requirements

8

All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations, worming, tick and flea treatments. You must provide us with a vaccination booklet (which can be uploaded to our booking system). If your dog isn't vaccinated, you must provide valid titre test results confirming sufficient immunity. Documentation must be presented prior to your dog's stay.

9

All dogs must be microchipped, and the microchip number must be supplied to us via the booking portal for the retreat to commence.

10

We are happy to accept bookings for unspayed bitches, however they must be a minimum of 90 days out of season at the time of boarding. It is the owners responsibility to ensure this requirement is met. Should an owner provide incorrect information and their dog came into season or become pregnant during their stay, Milele Dog Retreat accepts no liability.

11

Our facility maintains a group socialisation environment, and therefore we cannot accommodate entire male dogs over 9 months of age (7 months for large and giant breeds). This policy exists because unneutered males often display heightened arousal behaviours during group play, which can disrupt the social dynamics of our facility. Additionally, castrated males frequently show intolerance towards entire males due to hormonal differences, potentially resulting in confrontational behaviour.

12

You agree to supply enough food for the duration of your dog's Stay, bedding (if you wish), lead and any toys which will help your dog to settle.

13

The emergency contact you supply on the booking form must be someone available in the UK whilst you are on holiday who will be able to act on your behalf should we not be able to reach you and potentially collect your dog in the unlikely event that the need should arise.

Policies &  Restrictions

14

You agree to provide full and detailed information in the Booking Form about your dog/s. During your continued use of Milele Dog Retreat you agree to keep us informed of any changes to your dog/s Booking Form.

15

We are unable to accept dogs with aggression problems towards other dogs or people and subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

16

We do not accept banned dog breeds for boarding, i.e. any dog listed under Section 1 of The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. This exclusion also extends to those with an exemption certificate. Additionally, we will also exclude any dog which we judge may be one the listed breeds unless the owner can provide suitable written proof that it is not. For the avoidance of doubt (as of January 2024) the following breeds are listed under Section 1 of The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991: American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, American Bully XL.

17

When you make a booking with Milele dog retreat you are entering into a contract with us. In order to properly perform our side of the contract we need to record details relating to you and your pet(s). We will take reasonable care of your personal data and only process it fairly and lawfully under the terms of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).

18

Photos taken of your dog/s during their retreat will be the property of Milele Dog Retreat and may be shared on our website and social media sites. Should you not wish for your dogs photos to be shared please let us know. The security of dogs is paramount.

Comprehensive care will be taken of your animal whilst it is boarding with us. All reasonable care will be exercised to protect the health and safety of your pet, however boarding is at your own risk. In particular, any veterinary costs incurred during the boarding period must be met by you. 20

Milele Dog retreat will use all care to ensure the happiness, safety and welfare of your dog/s. If however your dog becomes unwell or has an accident during their stay with us, we will take him/her to a Veterinary Surgery. You agree to be responsible for payment of veterinary fees incurred upon your return. We do recommend that your dog is insured against sickness, accident, injury and third-party liability prior to the start of the board. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you give us here at Milele authorisation to take your dog/s to the Vet's, including for treatment, if necessary, whilst also confirming you will pay the Veterinary Surgery directly.
